Les "Chimères de Nerval" (4,20m x3m)

The purpose of this polyptich is to open a new space for translation between poetry and visual arts. It is not a simple illustration. The 13 paintings (an analogy to the 13 poems) try to bring back the soul of the work "les Chimères" of the 19th century poet Gerard de Nerval. Yet each painting of the polyptich is not an illustration of one of the poems. It follows the spirit of the totality and concentrates a red of inner references. The balance of totality and unity can bring a new challenge to visual art as illustration or translation. INE painting permits translation to be a meditation through another codification.
